Knotted
Helena Westerlind is a Swedish born architect and designer based in Madrid and London.
Her first works as an independent designer celebrates the traditional craft of knotting. With her background in architecture she percieves the knot like a building block that through variation and repetition can create any shape.
“The process of knotting organises the continuous nature of rope into a structure, through repeated movements, that becomes forever captured in the knotted pattern. The knot is the building block that through its variation makes the whole”
