Jill Shaddock
Having graduated from Manchester School of Art in 2011, with a first class degree in Three Dimensional Design; Jill has gone on to set up her own ceramic studio in Manchester, where she produces a range of functional and decorative pieces, using parian semi porcelain high-fired clay.
Her work celebrates the processes of making and explores users relationships with objects by enhancing the story of their creation. Translating working methods into visual information, which is captured within the pieces in order to reveal this narrative. By manipulating normal methods of slipcasting, unique objects are created elevating a process normally associated with mass production.
