Emma Lawrenson
Emma’s collection of minimal, abstract screen prints are inspired by her immediate surroundings of the Yorkshire countryside, where she lives and works from her home studio near Holmfirth.
After leaving the Royal College of Art, where she studied printmaking, Emma has had numerous solo exhibitions and sold work to collectors in over 25 different countries. She also produces work for interior designers in London, California and Texas and has supplied work for film and television sets in the USA.
Every piece made is part of a very small edition run, so you will always get something pretty unique. Only the finest handmade papers are used and Emma makes sure each layer is dry before adding the next colour, building up the prints little by little. This precise and methodical approach is proof of her training at what is arguably the best art school in the world, and is what makes her work so truly exceptional.
‘We love Emma’s gorgeous sense of colour and shape, and her simple design aesthetic. Emma’s work adds a great pop of colour to any space.’ S&L, California
