Supporting young designers: How FAO Shop came to be
Carefully curated selection
We pride ourselves on building personal relationships with designers and our team scouts press, trade shows and colleges to find the most promising talent who are then invited to sell their products on FAO Shop. FAO then maintains ongoing relationships with its stable of creatives to keep abreast of their latest projects and products. Our product range will always be evolving to not only feature timeless classics but also reflect new trends .
Truly unique products, direct from designer to your home
We have used our experience to carefully source an eclectic product list where respected designers line up alongside acclaimed young design talent to create a stand out range of items that you’ll find hard to discover on the high street.
Outstanding customer service
In the unlikely event purchases go astray, we’re available to help. Call or email us and we’ll answer any questions, one to one.
The FAO Shop difference
Quarterly online magazine
We also commission exclusive editorial features from leading critics on the most promising design talent.
All of this can be found in our free online FAO Magazine. Our editorial objective is to create a contemporary, indispensable guide to new design. Sign up and we’ll mail you the next issue when it’s ready.
Pop-up shops
We’ve previously had a pop-up shop at the largest destination for design & culture Design Junction , designed in collaboration with artist and set designer Andy McGregor that featured a selection of beautiful fashion, art and objects from Bethan Gray, Knotted, Danielle Vroeman, Daniel & Emma, Jill Shaddock, Red Brick North and Another Country
FAO will be hitting the road again with many more pop-up shops planned at major design and retail events throughout the year.
